August Library Report

MONTHLY REPORT FOR AUGUST 2015

CIRCULATION TOTAL:                  Year of 2015:  1,528

HAPPENINGS AT THE LIBRARY: Radio Spot was done4 times this month. The Internet was access a total of 283. Laptop users in library were 79. Microfilm reader used 3 times. Die cut machine used 5 times. No GED Class was held this month. No college tests were proctored. OverDrive checkouts were 229. Library Board meeting was held the 11th. No video teleconference meetings held. The children that completed our Summer Reading Program (Age 3-18) was submitted for the NEST 529 drawing. Library Staff attended the new accreditation guidelines as planning tool Webinar on 12th. All staff attended the Database Roadshow on 26th. Kara Welch (Board President) also attended this. Wanda has completed several more classes in the Library Basic Skill course and just started the library policy class. Director attended the Union Meeting on 17th to prepare for the City/Union Contract meeting on the 26th. Library Foundation Board meeting held on 20th. A few of the members met on 26th to look at tile samples. A large box of inkjet cartridges were boxed up to mail off on 21st for recycling. The lobby area was painted on the 21st. The rest room hall way was painted on the 24th and 25th. The Strategic Plan was approved by the Nebraska Library Commission on the 24th.  Five new library card holders added this month.
