As part of the National Library Week celebration and the 150th birthday of Nebraska, the Library held a “Guess How Many Contest”. Patrons had all of last week to submit their guess on how many books our library had in its collection that pertained to the State of Nebraska. The winner was Melissa Doke with the number of 974. The correct answer was 937. Melissa wins a red Summer Flip Flop Container/Server, Gameday red cups with the letter N, and items from Nebraska such as Road Apple Wine from the Niobrara Valley Vineyards in Nenzel, Ne; Double K Popcorn from Valentine, NE; and several packets of Kool-Aid since Kool-Aid was invented in Hastings, NE.
A number of people had submitted a guess which ranged from 27 to 6,000. It was a fun contest to hold and the Library thanks everyone for participating in the contest!
