An Open House will be held on Sunday, December 3rd, from 1-4 p.m. at the Ainsworth Public Library to showcase the Library Innovation Studio Makerspace. Come see live demonstrations of all the equipment. You will see what you can make on each machine. Sign-Up Sheets for future training will be available.
The Library Innovation Studio is part of a grant that the Ainsworth Library received from the following partners: Institute of Museum and Library Services, Nebraska Library Commission, Nebraska Extension, Nebraska Innovation Studio, and the Nebraska Regional Library Systems. The Makerspace equipment which consists of a Heat Press/Printers, Embroidery/Sewing Machine, Laser Cutter, 3D Printer, Vinyl Cutter, CNC Router, Music Recording Kit, Camera/Video with Green Screen, Laminator, Button Maker, Lego Mindstorm, Makey Makey; Arduino; Sparkfun; soldering iron and other equipment to use with machines. The equipment was installed on November 14th with training of local people for two days. The Makerspace will be at our library through the first week of April.
