Registration Time for Summer Reading Program

The Ainsworth Public Library will hold a sign-up time for the Summer Reading Program from May 1st to May 13th. You may sign up in person at the library or with the on-line form found on the library’s website at libraries.ne.gov/ainsworth. The “Universe of Stories” Summer Reading Program will feature space topics for toddlers to fourth grade children. We will go by the grade just completed in this school year of 2018-19. If your child has special needs, an adult will need to assist them during the program.

Toddler Time will be held on Tuesdays during June from 4 – 4:30 p.m. for children age two and three. We ask that an adult stays with the child during this time. Preschool Summer Storytime will also be held on Tuesdays in June from 1-2 p.m. This is for the children age 4 and 5 (if they have not yet attended Kindergarten). Dates for both of these groups include June 4th, 11th, 18th, and 25th.

The Kindergarten to Fourth Grade students will be keep track of their reading from June 3rd to June 29th. Prizes will be awarded with the completion of the program requirements which will be handed out at their first Fun Hour. Reading slips will be due back by 6 p.m. on June 29th. Fun-Hours will be held on Thursdays in June for the grade school children. Kindergarten to first grade students will come from 1-2 p.m. and the second to fourth grade students will come from 3-4 p.m. Dates include June 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th.
