Summer Reading

The Albion Public Library hosts an exciting summer reading program each year.  Our elementary school program begins in June and runs 4-6 weeks through the beginning of July. Participating children have the opportunity to listen to books, enjoy a craft or activity, have a yummy snack, and win weekly prizes. Each session lasts approximately 1 1/2 hours. Participants are also encouraged to read (or read with an adult) throughout the summer and complete a reading record.  At the end of the 6 weeks, children are rewarded for a job well done… Typically with ice cream from our local ice cream shop.

Cozy Cuddles is a parent-child program hosted for 4 weeks in June for children ages 0-4. Sessions are usually 30 minutes from 10:30-11:00 am on Thursdays. Children and parents enjoy a few books, a craft or playtime and a simple snack.
