The Alliance Public Library is proud to host a number of programs for community youth of all ages:
Youth Book Club
Youth Book Club will meet on January 25 at 4:30pm. Book kit copies are available for check out at the circulation desk with no fee.
May the Force be with You Contest
Youth in grades 3-12 can participate in “May the Force be with You in 2022” from January 3 through February 28. Entry forms can be completed for any Star Wars book or DVD that is checked out from the Alliance Public Library. One Star Wars prize winner will be drawn from all entries on Monday, February 28 at 3 pm. We have “May the Force be with You” reward cards with stickers and Star Wars bookmarks for each participant.
Coding Clubs (K-3rd and 4th+)
The Alliance Public Library is pleased to announce the return of Code Club beginning Monday, September 13 and Wednesday, September 15! Space is limited and registration is currently open. Contact the library or visit the Circulation Desk for more information and to register.
Code Club will meet once a week at the Alliance Public Library in the back room:
- Grades K-3rd on Mondays from 4-5 pm with Cynthia using Code.org
- Grades 4-12th on Wednesdays from 4-5 pm with Nalani using Minecraft Education Edition
Each week will build upon the previous lesson and regular attendance is critical to success. To ensure our limited space and resources are used to their full potential, we will consider participants unregistered if they do not attend for two consecutive weeks.
