Join the Friends of the Alliance Public Library!

The Friends of the Library is a non-profit organization working to support the Alliance Public Library in a variety of ways. Money raised is used to help fund the summer reading and storytime programs as well as purchase new books, furniture, computers and many other items that help make the library an enjoyable community resource.


Monetary and book donations are accepted year round. Books may currently be donated at the library’s circulation desk. Items donated will either be added to the library’s collection for patron use, sold in the Alliance Public Library Foundation bookstore, or sent to the Friends of the Library for their semi-annual sales.

Book Sales

Book sales will be held in the library every first Friday of the month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. A Friends of the Library Membership is required to enter the sale and may be purchase at the Circulation Desk for $5 per year. A vast selection of materials, genres and subjects will be available for $5 per bag. The next sale is scheduled for Friday, May 3.
