It\u2019s autumn in Connecticut and there\u2019s a chill in the air and pumpkin spice is the flavor of the season. Melanie Travis is perennially busy, of course\u2014but when the owner of a local pet supply shop is found murdered, sleuthing tops her To Do list . . . The man\u2019s body is found in the early morning light by a local dog walker in the park outside Rosebank, a home for troubled teens in the coastal village of Longwater. The victim is Josh, a staff member, who was due to work the previous night but never showed up.
