New Library News

21 September 2011

You’ve probably noticed the changes in the library. We are becoming automated, meaning everything will now be on the computer. It’s going to be nice for a couple of reasons, but mainly because the books will all be on the internet and you’ll be able to look at what we have along with what you’ve read, from home. The website is http://alexhost4.companioncorp.com/7056688 . Please understand, though, that this is not just Arthur’s library but a collaboration of libraries in the Panhandle. If you would like a overview of the website and how it works, I would be happy to help. I’m here 2-5 p.m. Mon. – Fri (except for home game days).
Also, we acquired two new computers through a Gate’s Grant thanks to Carolyn Cerny’s hard work. Tara Hanna also donated a wonderful computer desk that we will be using for one of the computers. They will be open to public use very shortly.
The library also has some new books and are as follows: Half Broke Horses by Jeannette Walls (donated by Carolyn Cerny), The Perfect Lie by Dinah McCall, Four to Score by Janet Evanovich, and The Search by Nora Roberts (donated by Joanne Kondy), Now You See Her, Cross Fire, and Tick Tock by James Patterson (donated by Gail Looney), Deadly Gamble by Linda Lael Miller and Chasing Fire by Nora Roberts (donated by Marlene Larsen), Serena & Caine : The MacGregors by Nora Robert and Whiplash by Catherine Coulter (donated by Deb Kupper), D is for Deadbeat, C is for Corpse, E is for Evidence by Sue Grafton and Chosen to Die by Lisa Jackson (Donated by Brenda Cullinan), Smokin’ Seventeen by Janet Evanovich, Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life by James Patterson, and More Than Words: Daughters of Amanda by Judith Miller. Brenda Cullinan also donated some book on CD and are as follows: Cure and Intervention by Robin Cook, From Potter’s Field and Port Mortuary by Patricia Cornwell, I is For Innocent, H is for Homicide, B is for Burglar, A is for Alibi, G is for Gumshoe by Sue Grafton.
