If you, or someone you know, is between the ages of 3 and 18, and completes the Summer Reading Program, you qualify to enter to win a $529 scholarship. So if you aren’t already participating sign up now.
For kids 5th grade and younger, the Children’s Summer Reading Program must be completed by reading 15 hours (in the case of younger children unable to read on their own, reading to them counts) and turning in the Summer Reading log.
For 7th grade and older, the Teen’s Summer Reading Program must be completed by submitting 5 reading logs and 5 book reviews.
Children entering the 6th grade this fall may choose to participate in either the Children or Teen Reading Program.
For more information on the Summer Reading Programs and copies of the logs, etc. click here or contact us at the library.
Once all the right logs and book reviews are submitted library staff will enter the child’s name in the drawing. A parental permission is required as a 529 College saving account must be setup for any prize winners. For full official rules click here.
As a bonus if anyone participating through the Ashland Public Library wins the drawing, we will also receive $250 for the library.
