Are there any hands on activities or reading programs for preschoolers?
There are! We have the 1000 books before kindergarten program. You’ll just need to stop by the library for a bookmark and sheet to track your reading progress. Whether or not the participating child can read by themselves, we encourage parents to read aloud to their pre-kindergarten children for this program because any reading counts!
We also have Tot-to-Play on Monday mornings at 10 a.m. in the community rooms. Parents are encouraged to stop by with their pre-kindergarten kids and socialize with other kids and parents. The library provides toys as well.
On Wednesday we hold storytime at 10 a.m. followed by a craft.
