Jeff Barnes – Contact and Conflict Program

Nebraska author, Jeff Barnes, came to the library to present a program called “Contact and Conflict: The Monumental Story of Nebraska and the Indian Wars.” Mr. Barnes, a popular presenter for the Atkinson Public Library, has written many books on Nebraska history, which are all available for checkout at the library. This program was presented to an audience of twenty-four adults, and fifty-three children, followed by a question and answer period.

Art Show Winners!!

An Art Show featuring items created by Kindergarten through eighth graders from West Holt and St. Joseph School is displayed at the Atkinson Public Library.  There are 288 wonderful projects, which will be on display until March 14.  Stop in and take a look at your local talent!

Valentines Day Crafts & Scavenger Hunt

The Atkinson Public Library held it’s Valentines Craft Day from February 1-3, where the children decorated Love Bug Jars, and Valentine baskets. The scavenger hunt was also held then, and continued through February 14. In all there were 219 children that attended the activities during that time, keeping the library really busy!
