Broadwater Days was fun and exciting. We had people who visited the Library and Village Hall. Many people reminisced about their kindergarten memories of the room which is now the library, and many others reminisced about their high school study halls and the high school library which were in the same room years ago.
The Sloppy Joe feed was a success. Donations have been split between the Village and the Library.
Additionally, at the dance where James Kulacz, a Broadwater Village Trustee, had offered a fundraising stunt to allow his hair to be cut for donations to the Friends of the Library, someone offered the Librarian, Beth Kulacz, to put in $200 himself if she would have hers cut too. Well! $200 will buy a lot of things for the library, so agreed. Hundreds of dollars were raised for the Friends of the Library. It is talked about on the Broadwater Buzz on Facebook

So, if you go to the library, and find that your formerly long-haired librarian is now nearly bald with a hat, this is why.
A new Children’s Storytime has started at the Broadwater Public Library every Saturday at 11:00 a.m., lasting until approximately noon or 12:30 p.m. The target group is children 12 and under, but teens and adults are also most welcome to attend.
The first of these was held on June 22nd, with 3 adults and 3 children.
The theme for the 2013 summer reading program is “Dig into Reading”. We will be reading stories or learning about what is in and under the ground – everything from soil, tree roots, to caves and mines.
