A group of interested Broadwater citizens are trying to raise funds for more children’s books through the Libri Foundation. Matching funds for this grant cannot come from Library funds: They must come from interested people, such as you. They offer a 2-for-one grant for children’s books. Look around town for donation jars for this cause.

The Library also received 8 new children’s books from the Western Library System when the librarian went to a free WLS seminar about children’s summer reading. Watch for more information about summer reading programs.

On Tuesday, March 14 at 4:30 PM the Broadwater Public Library will hold a St. Patrick’s Day program.

We will read Green Eggs & Ham by Dr. Seuss, and make a craft which you can take home with you.

The craft is a unique one, and is something which you will want to save for Easter eggs.

Bring a clean egg carton.

The Broadwater Public Library is offering many of the books which have been on the book sale shelf in the hallway free to anyone who comes into the Village Hall or Library on a first-come first-served basis. We have books for kids, teens, adult. We have nonfiction and fiction. We have mystery books, western books, romance books, humorous books. Most of them have signs of wear, but you cannot beat the price.

These books are in boxes marked FREE outside the Library door, inside the Village Hall.

Come in during hours that the Library is regularly open, or anytime the Village Hall is open. Come in and get books for yourself, your family and friends, your children and grandchildren.

This is a limited-time offer. Any which remain on Wednesday, March 11th will be discarded.

This will clear the book-sale shelf for books we will be discarding now, so they will all be fresh offerings.
