WILDFLOWERS….. those beautiful, hardy native plants (of which Nebraska has a wealth of)! “Did you know that the purple cornflower (Echinacea) has medicinal properties? While we think of it primarily as a tea to boost the immune system, …the Plains Indians used is as a topical anesthetic for toothache & burns.”
One of Nebraska’s top ten wildflower viewing roadways is located nearby: HWY 2 from Grand Island to Alliance.

Monday, June 16 @ 7:00 pm is a Book Discussion of the award winning book “The Giver” by Lois Lowry. We will have multiple copies of the book available for checkout, beginning May 12.
