Central City Public Library Receives Library Journal’s Five Star Designation for 6th Consecutive Time!

2013Starlibraries

For the 6th consecutive time, Central City Public Library has received a FIVE STAR rating in Library Journal’s Index of Public Library Service 2013!  Five stars is the highest rating that a library can receive. 7,573 libraries across the U.S. were evaluated.  The LJ Index gives an overall indication of how libraries stack up to their peers nationally.  The ranking is based on the quantities of services the libraries deliver based on: per capita stats for library visits, circulation, program attendance and public internet use. Our library ranked 4th in the nation for our expenditure category. In that category, only 10 of the libraries were five star libraries.
