Klyte Burt Memorial Library will be hosting Keith West’s Build a Better World Summer Reading Program with Miss Kitty, the Library Lady. You will be taken on an action-packed and fun journey to the place where all the secrets are kept…a magical place where you can do or be anything you want to do or be! Your library is the place where you are only limited by your imagination and your ambition. Join Keith and Miss Kitty as they take you on a fun-filled adventure to the place where your dreams do come true…Your Library! Show time is 10:00 AM June 23, 2017, at the Star Theatre. Public is invited.
Klyte Burt Memorial Library has over 1000 books for sale. Adult fiction and nonfiction and Juvenile fiction and nonfiction are available. Juvenile fiction and nonfiction hardcovers are 5/$1 and paperbacks 10/$1. Adult nonfiction is priced by condition and quantity purchased. Adult fiction is 10/$1 paperbacks and bestseller hardcover $1 each. Sale will run through the month of June.
All children are invited to join Klyte Burt Memorial Library’s summer reading program and attend the fun programs and events we are planning for children ages preschool through sixth grade. This summer’s theme, “Build a Better World,” explores all kinds of topics from building bridges to improving our community and more. The programs are free and open to children of all abilities
Klyte Burt Memorial Library and NE Extension-Frontier County have planned programs to keep your children reading and learning all summer. Whether you keep track of the amount of time your children spend reading or the number of books they have read this summer, children who join the summer library program keep their minds active and enter school in the fall ready to succeed. Activities may include games, healthy snacks, experiments, group activities and more. An added event this year will be a performance by Kent West’s Magic show on June 23, at 10:00 A.M. at the Star Theatre.
Pre-school through First Grade programs will begin on June 1 at 10:00 A. M. Programs for 2nd-6th grade will begin June 1 from 1:30-3:00 P. M. Programs will run every Thursday in June. Registration for “Build a Better World” begins on May 22. For more information, call the library at 367-4148.
