Summer Reading

Our first story time will be on Monday, June 2  at 10:00.  It will last 45 minutes.  Each Monday and Wednesday morning in June and the first two weeks of July story time will continue.   It is mainly for 3-6 year olds.  A parent, baby sitter, or older brother or sister is welcome to stay with any reluctant children.

The Way Out West 4-H Club will be readers.

On Thursday afternoons from 1-2, first grade and older children are invited to an activity time.  Each week from June  5 to July 10 we will do art activities, games, plays and other things.

There will also be a program for independent readers to keep track of the library books they read this summer.  This is for all kids who read from first grade through high school.  If they complete a designated amount of reading their name will be entered into a state wide drawing for fifteen $529 NEST scholarships.   The  Nebraska Education Savings Trust (NEST)College Savings Plan is giving these scholarships in partnership with  the Nebraska Library Commission and the Nebraska Library Systems.
