{"id":444,"date":"2020-10-15T15:15:28","date_gmt":"2020-10-15T21:15:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/libraries.ne.gov\/grant\/?p=444"},"modified":"2020-10-15T15:16:21","modified_gmt":"2020-10-15T21:16:21","slug":"library-increasing-public-access-hours","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/libraries.ne.gov\/grant\/2020\/10\/15\/library-increasing-public-access-hours\/","title":{"rendered":"Library Increasing Public Access Hours"},"content":{"rendered":"\t\t<div data-elementor-type=\"wp-post\" data-elementor-id=\"444\" class=\"elementor elementor-444\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-dd13144 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"dd13144\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-6885719\" data-id=\"6885719\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-675d47a elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"675d47a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>During the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, the Hastings Memorial Library has made the health and safety of library staff and our patrons our top priority.\u00a0 Effective Monday, October 19, the library will be open to the public Monday through Thursday, 10 AM to 1 PM and 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM, and Saturday mornings from 9 AM- 12 PM.\u00a0 We will be closed with no services available on Fridays.\u00a0 Staff will be on site each weekday until 5:30 PM cleaning and sanitizing high traffic areas after the library closes to the public.<\/p><p>As we extend the hours we are open to the public, we ask that you help us stay safe and stay open by abiding by the following restrictions and guidelines:<\/p><ul><li>Visits should be kept to 30 minutes per day.<\/li><li>Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a parent or other adult (18 or over) at all times.<\/li><li>Social distancing of six feet or more is encouraged and recommended whenever possible.<\/li><li>Hand sanitizer is available upon entry and is required. Staff will wear masks while patrons are in the building.\u00a0 Use of face masks by patrons is strongly encouraged.\u00a0 Masks are available at the door.\u00a0<\/li><\/ul><p>Two public computers are available for use by appointment.\u00a0 There will be a 30 minute time limit, as well as a 30 minute wait between appointments to allow staff to properly sanitize each station between usage.\u00a0 In order to maintain social distancing recommendations, staff will be unable to provide direct computer assistance at this time.\u00a0<\/p><p>Patrons are required to return all items via the outdoor book drop to the left of the front door.\u00a0 Items are checked in twice weekly and quarantined for at least 72 hours before returning to circulation.\u00a0 Any fines that accrue during the quarantine period will be automatically waived.<\/p><p>Our Curbside Checkout and Homebound Delivery services will continue.\u00a0 Please call or email the library during the hours listed above to submit your requests.\u00a0<\/p><p>If you are running a fever or feeling at all ill, please stay home or take advantage of our Curbside Checkout service.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p><p>Our online presence including our ebook, downloadable audiobook, and downloadable magazine collections remain available.\u00a0 These can be accessed by visiting our website at <a href=\"http:\/\/libraries.ne.gov\/grant\">http:\/\/libraries.ne.gov\/grant<\/a><\/p><p>These guidelines and restrictions are fluid and, therefore, subject to change at any time.\u00a0 The Library Board of Trustees will closely monitor the guidelines and recommendations set forth by Southwest Nebraska Public Health Department, the City of Grant, and Perkins County Schools when considering any
