It\u2019s nearly spring.\u00a0 At least that\u2019s what it feels like today.\u00a0 The robins are singing, the P.E. classes and the track team are pounding the pavement around town, and I am ready to break out the light weight jackets and the flip-flops.\u00a0 I can\u2019t wait to start digging in the flower pots and opening the windows.\u00a0 I\u2019m going to have to wash a few windows as well. \u00a0Red has been fighting his image in the vehicle mirrors and picture window all winter.\u00a0 No doubt Mr. Cardinal believes he is protecting Mrs. Red from interlopers.\u00a0 Silly bird wastes a lot of energy, I think.\u00a0 No other feathered competition around our place has the majestic coat that would attract a finicky female with an attitude.<\/p>\n
I\u2019ve been expending energy as well, but I\u2019ve not been wasting it.\u00a0\u00a0 Processing books is a \u2018fun\u2019 chore.\u00a0 Boxes of donated books and many new ones are now waiting on the shelves \u2013 waiting to be picked up with the hope of entertaining the next individual that wanders by.<\/p>\n
