The Hooper Public Library is back in business! Please stop in to see our new paint colors as well as our new Children’s Corner. Here you will find a wonderful “Seuss” mural painted by my daughter, Bailey and a fun new Puppet Theater, built and donated by my husband, Mike. Of course I had to get my son Nolan involved too so he helped in a variety of ways, heavy lifting and moving, helping with cleaning and providing company and moral support to his sister while she worked on the mural late one night. I definitely could not have done it without them and all of their time was strictly volunteer. I am blessed with a wonderful family.
Starting in April we will begin some new programs. We will have something for everyone so look for more detailed information to come on those. For the children I will send the information home from school and the adult programs will be advertised on flyers around town as well as at the Library of course.
As always you are encouraged to view our Facebook for more information on any happenings at the library.
New additions to our collection include: Tick Tock by James Patterson, Storm Prey by John Sandford, The Weird Sisters by Eleanor Brown, A Matter of Class by Mary Balogh, Scattered Petals (from the Texas Dream series) by Amanda Cabot, Firefly Lane by Kristin Hannah, The Boy Who Came Back from Heaven a true story by Kevin Malarkey, Of Thee I Sing: A Letter to My Daughters by Barack Obama , True Grit by Charles Portis, and the original True Grit movie starring John Wayne on DVD. Come see us and check something out today!
Reading is relaxing!
