Welcome to Hooper Public Library!

Did you or anyone in your family receive a Kindle, Nook, I Pad, etc. for Christmas? We now offer Nebraska Overdrive to our patrons. This enables you to borrow books for your e reader at no charge when you are a patron of the Hooper Public Library. Stop in for full details!
We still have a good selection of used books for sale at just 10 for $1.00! We also have used magazines that are FREE, take as many as you would like!
Thank-you to those that donated to our food drive, the items were donated to the Low Income Ministry of Dodge County. LIM serves those in need in a variety of ways and they had recently reported that the need was really growing so we were happy to make our donation to their organization.
Our junior book club The Magic Readers continues to meet once a month or so as their schedules allow. Our adult book club, The Bookenders meets the third Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m.
Coffee Corner has been a big success meeting the first Friday of each month. This is offered at 9:00 a.m. with no particular ending time, so stop in for coffee, a roll, some good conversation and of course we encourage you to check out a book or magazine while you’re here.

We will also be getting back to our Toddler/Preschool story time on the last Friday of each month. The next story time will be January 27th at 10:00 a.m. with a special story for Valentine’s Day. Put it on your calendar and plan to attend, Daycares and Preschools are always welcome.

Stop in to see us at the Hooper Public Library anytime, we strive to offer the bestselling book titles as well as listening to our patrons requests as to what they wish to read. We are also in the process of trying to build our DVD collection since VHS tapes are used less and less. If you have DVD’s that you no longer watch and wish to donate them we would be happy to accept them. We are always thankful for donations that help us build our collection.
2011 was a great year at HPL and we have our patrons, Board of Trustees, and Friends of the Library to thank for that. We wish you all the very best and HAPPY READING IN 2012!
