Busy days at the library here in Hooper! Last week we had story time which was well attended by young children who enjoyed some spring time stories. This Friday, May 4th we have our monthly Coffee Corner at 9:00 a.m. Be sure to stop by for some friendly conversation and maybe check out a book, magazine or a movie.
On Friday, May 11th Friends of the Hooper Public Library will host a Bake Sale from 9:00a.m.-1:00p.m. Donations of baked goods should be dropped off Thur. May 10th before 7:00p.m. or after 8:30a.m. Friday. Pre-orders can be taken for “HERB’s PIES” so just call the library! Chairing the event will be Jan Blomendahl. Proceeds from the sale will help fund the Summer Reading Program. Watch for details on that coming home from school soon.
Chain of Friends already made a generous donation to our SRP, they are always very supportive of the library and it is very much appreciated!
School will be out for the summer before we know it. Make sure children continue reading to keep their skills sharp! Take books along in the car so there is always something to do when you may be forced to wait in the car or at a practice for a sibling. Reading to your children and then discussing what they got from the story is another great way to test your child’s comprehension.
If you don’t have a library card stop in today! We are here to serve the patrons of this community and the Logan View district. Libraries are the heart of every community. Come and be a part of your library!
