IT’S NATIONAL LIBRARY CARD MONTH! Come to Hooper Public Library today and sign up for a library card if you do not already have one. There are many free services offered at HPL; public computers, free Wi-Fi, research and study areas, meeting room, book, magazine and movie check out, book clubs, Nebraska Overdrive and other special programs. Copies, computer printing and Die-cut machine use are also offered for a small fee.

Hooper Public Library will be participating in the Midwest Treasure Hunt this weekend by having a Baked Goods & Used Books & Movies Sale. This will be held Fri. Sept. 12th and Sat. Sept. 13th 9:00a.m.-1:00p.m. both days. We are asking for donations of used books and/or movies and if you would like to volunteer to make baked goods for our sale we would welcome that also. Baked goods can be dropped off for our sale on Thur. Sept. 11th before 7:00p.m. or Fri. Sept. 12th at 9:00 a.m. All proceeds from our sales will go toward building improvements. If you would like to donate directly to this cause please see Cherie Anderson at the library.

We have had a good response so far to our survey sent out in the water bill this month. If you have not filled yours out and returned it please do so. And if you did not receive one please stop at HPL or the City Office to pick one up. We want your input at Hooper Public Library!
