About the Library

The Hooper Public Library is located at 128 North Main Street, Hooper, Nebraska.  Hooper is a small city of approximately 827 people, so the Hooper Public Library is also small.  The staff is always glad to help patrons with whatever information services is needed.

The Library hosts computers for research, free Wi-Fi and all ages enjoy the more than 10,000 volumes of books for learning and for entertainment in regular print, in hardback and paperback, large print, and magazines. DVDs are also available to check out and Nebraska Overdrive is offered to check out E-books and Audio books,

Various adult and children’s programs are offered for community enhancement.

All people are welcome at the Hooper Public Library, regardless of age, ethnicity, race, gender or religion.

The Hooper Public Library is administered by the Hooper City Council, along with the Board of Library Trustees.  All policies governing the Hooper Public Library and its operation may be requested from the Director during regular Library open hours.  The Library Board of Trustees meet once a month. The public is always welcome at this meeting.
