Operating hours will be: Monday-Thursday 11:30 – 6 pm; Friday 11:30 – 5 pm

While still responding to the Corona Virus crisis, certain restrictions will be enforced.

  • Face coverings are required to enter the building
  • Children under 16 should be accompanied by an adult – no computers
  • The number of patrons will be limited to 10 people at a time, excluding staff
  • Computer use will be limited to 4 stations; social distancing (6ft) will be enforced and limited to 30 minutes per day
  • Items for return shall be put in the book drop or other designated area
  • No bathroom or drinking fountains available at this time
  • Other safety measures such as the use of hand sanitizer, quarantining of material, distancing from the circulation desk will also be in effect

Summer Reading Program ends Wednesday July 29th. Reading logs must be turned in before 1:00pm on Wednesday. If you tracked your reading this summer using ReaderZone please come to the library to enter your tickets for a grand prize.

NEW THIS YEAR: Prizes for the top three readers. The three readers who read the most this summer will get a prize. Top readers will be announced Wednesday, July 29, 2020.

The Madison Public Library in Madison, NE is open to the public.

There are some temporary restrictions you should be aware of before you visit us.

  • Masks are mandatory
  • Limit of 30 minutes computer use per day
  • No computer use ages 16 and under
  • No public restrooms or drinking fountains
  • No outside food or drinks
  • No loitering

Please have patience with us as we navigate this post-pandemic world.

The Madison Public Library is offering free vegetable seeds to the Madison community. Types of seeds still available include: green beans, beets, carrots, lettuce, pumpkin, spinach, squash, watermelon. (Thank you Madison Community Chest.)

Library staff will be available to meet you at the door of the library with your requested items.
