Women -Their Range of Status During the Western Movement

Sisters, Marci and Teresa give voice to women’s unique roles during the western movement. The sisters incorporate narrative poetry, music and props creating an educational and entertaining presentation.

The women highlighted include:

*mothers who save their families from financial ruin

*a barmaid who becomes a respected member of the community

*an outlaw’s wife

Say yes to Lori’s Quilt Class!

The Madison Public Library will be hosting a quilting class on Wednesday, January 30th at 5:00 to 7:00pm. There is a $15.00 fee for materials. If you have any questions please call 402-454-3500. Lori will instruct beginners in making table runners.

Experiment With Reading

As always the book banquet was tons of fun for children and adults!

 The presenters made science really interesting and exciting for all ages.

The long hard work of these two ladies was enjoyed and appreciated by everyone.

Senior Health Insurance Information Program.

Each year there is one open time that people who are enrolled in Medicare Part D can change their plans.  That time is NOW! Open enrollment ends December 7th this year.

If you have any questions you may come into the library and discuss your Medicare Part D with Nichole, speak to Bernie Olmer at the Senior Center (402) 454-3927, or call the Northeast Nebraska Area Agency on Aging in Norfolk (402) 370-3454.

Fun at the Library on National Game Day. Kids and adults enjoyed playing games and eating donuts. The Wii was a favorite. A big Thanks to everyone who participated and please join us next year for more fun!
