Come to the library at 12:00 PM on Thursday August 2nd to hear Jim McKee talk about “The Amazing Library of Thomas Jefferson Fitzpatrick”. McKee leads the audience step by step into the true story of Mr. Fitzpatrick, a long time resident of Bethany, Nebraska. This college professor began with a solid collection of rare books inherited from his illustrious namesake. Years later, he was living entirely in the kitchen of his house, because the rest of his property was filled with-guess what?!-books! And the story doesn’t end there.
This free program is cosponsored by the Nebraska Humanities Council. Please call the library to reserve your seat as seating is limited. Attendees can bring their own lunch. Iced tea, water, and coffee will be provided.
