After receiving several requests, the North Platte Public Library will be offering Microsoft Word and Saving Files as the February topics, taught in a series of 3 classes as described below. Class fee of $10 per person includes all 3 classes. Each 2-hour class will begin at 9:30 AM and is limited to 10 people. All classes are taught in the first floor meeting room using Windows 7 laptop computers but will relate to Windows 8 and Windows 10. Pre-registration is required. Microsoft Word 2013 Step by Step Beginning Skills 1 on Thursday, 2/4 at 9:30 AM: Microsoft Word is a powerful word processing program. This class will introduce word processing and its terminology. You will learn how to enter text, correct typing errors, change font, and other word processing skills.
Microsoft Word 2013 Step by Step Beginning Skills 2 on Thursday, 2/11 at 9:30 AM: This class builds on the skills learned in Beginning Microsoft Word, giving you more hands-on practice. You will learn to use the Office Clipboard, adjust line spacing and margins, make other editing changes to documents before printing, and to print envelopes and labels.
Saving and Organizing Computer Files on Thursday 2/18 at 9:30 AM: This class will teach saving files such as documents created on a computer and how to organize files in folders. Learn how to rename files, create folders, move files, and use removable media to save copies of files or folders.
