Creative Arts for the Aging Program Coming to the Palisade Public Library August 8th – 12th!!!

Get ready to hone your story-telling skills!!! Thanks to a Nebraska Humanities Council grant, we will host a teaching artist for the program, “Our-story” IS history! Join us from 10:30amCT to noon each weekday as we work with D. Kevin Williams to craft a story to be passed down to future generations! We are honored to host Mr. Williams… Kevin has been developing his professional and instructional craft in the dramatic arts for over 35 years. His performance credits range from local and regional commercial appearances at 12 years old, to performing radio and television voice overs. Most notably is the Emmy nominated, animated children’s series, Liberty’s Kids, the Nebraska and North Carolina Shakespeare Festivals and the film For the Love of Amy. He has also toured with the National Broadway Company of The Color Purple, and so much more…

Kevin’s goals for the workshop is for participants to record a piece of history around one event that may have never been told before and can be passed on to future generations. We can better understand, appreciate, and respect each other’s experiences and hopefully gain a perspective of how to understand that we are all part of the human race.
