July 1 – Stop by the library and pick up your Otoe County Fair Guide.
July 4 – Happy 4th of July. The library will be closed.
July 9 – The Palmyra Book Club will meet at the library at 2:00 P.M. to discuss the One Book One Nebraska 2018 – Nebraska Presence: an Anthology of Poetry.
July 10 – The Summer Reading Program begins at 6:30 P.M. at the Palmyra Activities Center. Our first program will be Music From Around the World – Musician David Marsh, a well-known speaker with Humanities Nebraska, will bring an array of musical instruments and entertain us with music from around the world.
July 17 – Our second Summer Reading Program will be– Brett Jurgens, from the Lincoln Gem and Mineral Club. He will bring rocks and gems he has collected from around the world.
July 24 – Our third Summer Reading Program will be – the Instrument Petting Zoo – The Palmyra Memorial Library Youth Advisory Board are musicians and will be bringing their instruments for you to see and perhaps hear them play (if you give them a treat.) We will have brass, woodwinds, and percussion instruments. Pastor Gary Ganger will represent the string section with his guitar and play a few songs for all to enjoy. This will be CRAFT night so come prepared to make a fun craft to take home.
July 26 – July 29 – Otoe County Fair
July 31 – Our final Summer Reading Program will be – Movie Night! Admission will be one canned food item for the Western Otoe County Food Pantry. There will be prizes and treats for all.
