PLS Member Survey currently Underway

PLS Board Member Nominations 2010
The Panhandle Library System needs to fill two vacancies on the Board - beginning July 1, 2010. We are accepting nominations through April 1, 2010. The form is attached to this announcement. Nominate someone today!
Win a School Library Makeover
Acer and Intel are accepting nominations for Acer's School Library Technology Makeover Contest, which will award 10 new Acer Aspire Timeline notebook computers, valued at nearly $10,000, and two all-in-one desktop computers to a deserving school library. Deadline to nominate is January 17, 2010.

January Jobalike In Bayard
This is a job sharing session where you will have an opportunity to share problems, ask questions, and talk about your own jobs. We will meet in Bayard on Tuesday, January 26 at the Branding Iron restaurant. Please be there by 6:00pm. Following dinner & discussion, Laurie Bauer will take us on a tour of the new Bayard Elementary School facility, & possibly the new gym!

Golden Sower Award Nominee Titles 2010-2011
The Golden Sower Award is Nebraska's Golden Choice Literary Award. The Golden Sower Award is sponsored by the Nebraska Library Association's School, Children's and Young People's Section (SCYP).
Ellen Klages Tours Nebraska
Ellen Klages, Author of the Green Glass Sea (the One Book for Nebraska Kids 2009 selection), toured Nebraska from October 12-18, 2009. This statewide author tour was sponsored by the Nebraska Library Commission, in cooperation with Nebraska Regional Library Systems.
