I created a new banner by putting three images together using paint. The new image is jpeg, 960 x 198 pixels, and 85.7kb. I attempted to upload that image on the change heading area of the template (graphene)and got the following error message:
“web banner 1.jpg” has failed to upload due to an error
Unable to create directory wp-content/blogs.dir/78/files/2012/09. Is its parent directory writable by the server?
I then tried to upload the same image to media and again got that same message.
How can I fix the problem especially since I don’t know the answer to the question the error message is asking?
Thanks much.

Sandy,
I can confirm you’re doing everything right and that there is something wrong on our end. We’re working on identifying and fixing the problem.
