WordPress updated to version 5.0 a while back. We will be updating to this version on Monday or Tuesday, December 16 or 17th. Usually I don’t announce general updates, but version 5.0 will bring quite a few changes to the look and feel of the dashboard. Here are the major changes you can expect:
- Pages & Posts: We are now using Gutenberg, a block-based editor. This means your pages and posts will be made using different blocks for text, images, etc. Check out this tutorial.
- Themes: Some themes may not work as well if the developer didn’t update to the new editor.
- More Control: I added the Elementor plugin. This will give you more control on designing and updating page layouts and content. See it in action in this Elementor tutorial.
