The Rock County Public Library received funding designated for a new automated circulation system from remaining Q125 funds administered by the Bassett Foundation, Inc. The new software and converted database was received the first week in August. To keep expense of the transfer to a minimum, staff transferred the patron and current circulation of materials in house.
The new system went live on September 3rd. You can once again access the online catalog at http://libraries.ne.gov/rockcounty by clicking on Catalog. Log in using your library card number as your user ID and your last name as your password. If you don’t know your card number, stop by or call 402-684-3800. Searches can be done using the simple, advanced or by study program options. When a title is found, click on details if you want more information. On the right of the screen you can clearly see if a title is in or checked out. If you want a title that is checked out held for you when it comes in, you can place a hold on it. Reservations on titles are used only if you might want an item on a later specific date.
