November Board Meeting Minutes<\/p>\n
The Rock County Public Library Board met Nov. 27, 2019 for their regular board meeting at the library.\u00a0 \u00a0President Jane Klemesrud called the meeting to order at 5:35 with board members: Jane Klemesrud, Debbie Morrison, Cheryl Hart and Macey Lackaff, (library director) present. Ryan Roggasch and Kristie Beard were absent.<\/p>\n
Jane informed the visitors of the location of the posted Nebraska Open Meeting Act.<\/p>\n
Cheryl read the minutes of the previous meeting. Debbie moved that the minutes be approved.\u00a0 Jane seconded.\u00a0 Motion approved unanimously.<\/p>\n
Debbie gave the Treasurer\u2019s report.\u00a0 See attached copy.<\/p>\n
No visitors were present.<\/p>\n
Macey gave her librarian\u2019s report.\u00a0 See attached copy.<\/p>\n
For old business, no new bookmobile bids have been given.\u00a0 The library closed at 3:30 on Halloween for Trunk or Treat event downtown.<\/p>\n
In new business, Jane emailed Ass\u2019n of Bookmobile and Outreach Services and they said they could list the bookmobile for us in Specialty Vehicle Services.\u00a0 Macey will list it following the Vendor Fair (where she will be selling books from it and have a for sale sign in it) The PTO committee report was discussed and the board will meet at a special meeting on Dec. 9 at 5:00 p.m. to make changes to the policy.\u00a0 A Holiday Open House will be held Dec. 11 from 4-7 p.m.\u00a0 Board members will make cookies.\u00a0 Accreditation was approved and we are at the Silver Level.\u00a0 This will be valid until Dec. 2022.\u00a0 A schematic design was given from J.R. Hewgley & Associates for the library renovation.\u00a0 Ideas were shared and discussion will continue.<\/p>\n
Bills were gone over and Cheryl made a motion to approve the bills.\u00a0 Debbie seconded.\u00a0 Motion approved.<\/p>\n
Macey reported 6 students from Pony Lake came Nov.12th, 8 adults attended the Book discussion on the book, This Blessed Earth<\/u> on Nov. 19th<\/sup>, 15 First Graders visited on Nov. 20th<\/sup>, Macey visited Long Term Care on Nov. 21st<\/sup>, 11 children attended the preschool story hour on Nov. 22nd<\/sup>, and the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten was started this month with 6 children signed up.
