Republican Valley Library System
The Republican Valley Library System’s mission is to assist libraries of all types to achieve their fullest potential in the areas of information dissemination, leadership, technology, and resource sharing.
The RVLS Service Area
The Republican Valley Library System serves the south central Nebraska counties of Adams, Chase, Clay, Dundy, Franklin, Frontier, Furnas, Gosper, Harlan, Hayes, Hitchcock, Kearney, Lincoln, Logan, McPherson, Nuckolls, Perkins, Phelps, Red Willow & Webster.
The System covers 15,357 square miles, with a population of 142,989. The system consists of 46 public libraries, 5 academic libraries, 67 public school districts, 5 special and institutional libraries, and 3 educational service units.
Thirty-one of the forty-six public libraries in the system are located in towns of less than 1,000 people.
