A big thank you goes out to Monica Macoubrie of the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission for her fun and educational program at Schuyler Public Library on Monday!  Also, big thanks go out to all our patrons who attended the program and got to meet Alexander the Salamander.

Every Hero Has a Story!

Schuyler Public Library’s Summer Reading Program for 2015 is “Every Hero Has a Story”.  Sessions begin on Monday, June 1, and will be held for seven weeks.  Youngsters preschool through first grade will meet on Mondays at 1 p.m., while students second grade and older will meet on Wednesdays at 1 p.m.  Registration begins May 26 and forms are available at the circulation desk.  We look forward to a fun and educational summer!  Be a hero this summer-READ.

National Library Week

April 12-18 is National Library Week and Your Library is planning some special events.  On Monday we are having a Scavenger Hunt with participants being entered into a drawing for a chance to win a prize.  Tuesday is Have Your Picture Taken With Your Favorite Book Day.  Wednesday will be a surprise, so stop in.  On Thursday will we have a special Movie Night at 5 p.m. with popcorn, and on Friday we will have a Mario Kart Contest at 3 p.m. with the winner taking home a great prize.  Stop in this week!

NEW Young Adult Books

We have added several books by David Levithan to our collection of Young Adult books.  New titles are: Hold Me Closer; The Lover’s Dictionary; Every Day; Every Me, Every You; and Will Grayson, Will Grayson.  The latter is co-authored with John Green.  Stop in and check out one of these books.  Levithan just might be your new favorite author.
