Announcement, extended closing

Hello, my lovely patrons! Liz the Librarian here with an update!

I have been advised to remain closed until mid-April, due to concerns with and the dangers involving COVID-19. So, for now, our tentative opening date is April 15th. I have been told that this date may change and be pushed back or forward; I will let you all know when I do. But for now, we are still officially closed. There are still no club nights during this time.

BUT! I am still coming in and doing work (thank you so much to the village for letting me!) so we are still offering most of our services for you all!

You can still check out books and DVDs to keep the boredom at bay; our Wi-Fi is still up and running and free to use (the password is our phone number!); if you need to use a computer and our printer, you are more than welcome to stop by and do so; if your child needs craft supplies, paper, bits and bobs, etc for school projects, please feel free to ask me for them; and anything else you can think of, just ask, and I will do my best to help!

As always, you can reach me through the library’s phone number, 402-568-2570, and yes, you can leave a message if you would like. We also have an email address: snyderlibrary@yahoo.com. I will respond to any messages and/or emails as soon as possible. But if you reach out through the Facebook page (facebook.com/necessitynotluxury), I will be able to respond almost immediately, as I am able to access it with my phone.

When I am in the library, I put up a sign saying “Miss Liz is IN!” so you know that I am here, and I am letting patrons in two or three at a time to use our services. The library has been deep-cleaned and disinfected, and will continue to be disinfected regularly.

Again, if you need anything, anything at all, please just ask, and I will help you to best of my abilities!

Stay home, stay safe, and keep on reading!
