AAARGH….Ahoy Maties! On July 9th, Citizens State Bank employees Sandy Weltruski and Maureen Seamann, along with their helper, Rebecca Houtby, (Maureen’s granddaughter) dressed as pirates and overtook the Spalding Library story hour! With their bag of coins in hand and treasure chest in tow, they visited the library to capture the imagination of the group of children attending. As the children arrived they were presented a pirate scarf and an eyepatch to wear. Maureen then read a story of a young boy named LoJack, who was captured by pirates in his dream. After the story, each child was rewarded with a bubble gum “coin” and a “treasure” of their choice from the chest.
