Over 90 people attended Kathy Nelson’s book signing on Saturday.  It was exciting to have Mike Babcock, editor of Hail Varsity in attendance as well as author Rick Wallace. We were also pleasantly surprised to have a woman in attendance who was delivered by Dr. George Flippin in 1926! Something for Everyone Next Week at the Library!

We have events for all ages and interests next week at the library!

Tuesday, October 14~Teen movie night. We will be showing a double feature with the first movie beginning at 4 pm. Students in the 6-12 grades are welcome! Popcorn will be served.

Thursday, October 16~Preschool lapsit. Children ages 1-4 are welcome when accompanied by an adult. Books, songs and activities. 10:30 am

Saturday, October 18~We will be hosting the launch of Kathy Nelson’s book, “More Than Football: George Flippin’s Stromsburg Years” Think of it as your pre-tailgate event for the day! 10 am-Noon

If you can’t make it to the library, remember, the “Big Library Read” begins on OverDrive Monday, the 13th and runs through the 28th. The book, “Anatomy of a Misfit” by Andrea Portes is available for simultaneous check outs. No holds, no waiting! Click the OverDrive link to the right to begin the adventure!
