Tuesday AfterSchool March 28

This week we’ll be looking at a big stack of new books for kids from the last few months, then a craft that involves weaving around drinking straws.

Tuesday AfterSchool is offered in partnership with Twin Rivers YMCA and is open to all area elementary school children (under age 8 with supervision). Beginning right after school, the afternoon includes a snack, homework time, programs/activities and unstructured time for reading and play. Formal programming ends before 6 p.m.

Coloring Contest

We’re having a coloring contest for kids and adults! (Teens compete as adults.)

Come to the library to pick up a full size copy of this ‘Do the Dewey’ poster.

Color it in with crayons, colored pencils, or any way you like. Write your name clearly on the back. Make sure we know which age bracket you’re in (kid or teen/adult). Hand it in to any library staff during open hours.

We’ll announce the winning entries on March 29th, then put up these posters in both the kid and adult nonfiction areas.
