Saturday Story Time
We learned about sheep on Saturday at Story Time. We read Simpson’s Sheep Won’t Go to Sleep, written and illustrated by the Omahan Bruce Arant. We counted sheep using clothespins and made our own sheep from our hand prints.

At Whiz Kid Wednesday, we tasted 6 different root vegetables and rated them on how crunchy, moist and tasty they were. Have you eaten a raw parsnip? Thanks to Rachel from the County Extension Office for presenting again today!

Get Ready for Karate Night!
Wear some comfortable clothes and come to the library Tuesday night at 6:30 to learn some self-defense and karate moves. Lynn Lofshult from the American School of Karate and Judo in Elkhorn will lead our class.

What happens to the socks that go missing in the laundry? Two ladies from Omaha have found out and together wrote and illustrated The Sneaky Sock Gremlin. Join us on Saturday July 9 at 10:30 when they read the story, lead some activities for the kids, and autograph their books. …
