Thursday AfterSchool

Taking place every Thursday afternoon during the school year, AfterSchool is offered in partnership with Twin Rivers YMCA. It’s open to all elementary aged children at no cost. Children under age 8 should bring an adult or responsible older sibling. Beginning right after school, the afternoon includes a snack, homework time, fun activities, and unstructured time for reading and play. Formal programming ends before 6pm. Third Saturday Storytime

Each third Saturday at 10:30am we offer storytime. Join us for stories, crafts, songs, and a snack! The program is planned for a preschool audience, but children of all ages are encouraged to participate. Children should be accompanied by an adult throughout the program.

1000 Books Before Kindergarten

Read with your little ones, and get rewarded! Track your progress at home, with a sheet provided by the library. After their first 100 books children place their “tracking train” on our Wall of Fame, and receive an “I Love My Library” tote bag. For each additional 100 books read, their train moves down the track. When your child reaches 1000 books they receive a superhero cape and mask, and are designated as a “Super Reader”! Stop by the checkout desk for more information.
