Welcome to the Valparaiso Public Library’s website!
The Valparaiso Public Library serves the community of Valparaiso, Nebraska, which includes those who live in the Village itself and those who live around it, primarily in the 68065 ZIP code area. The Village population is about 600; the area population totals around 1500. Persons who live outside this area are welcome to use the library and also may apply for library cards.

How to Find Us
The Valparaiso Public Library is in the old bank building on the north side of Valparaiso’s main business street, West 2nd, on the northwest corner of West 2nd and Pine. There’s a drop box in front of the library and a blue library logo sign on the corner of the building itself.

The Village of Valparaiso is on Nebraska Hwy 79, about 20 miles northwest of Lincoln and 20 miles southwest of Wahoo. Turn west off 79 onto West 2nd, follow the blue library logo signs the two blocks to Pine, and you’re here!

Wednesdays 3 to 8 p.m. (during Summer Reading late May-early July, 1-8 pm)
Thursdays 1 to 8 p.m.
Saturdays 9 a.m. till noon

Closing Dates 2016

Bad Weather Closings
During the school year, the library closes when the school closes for bad weather. The library also may close at other times when severe weather threatens.
