We have an exciting week coming up at the library….It’s summer reading time! Here is the tentative schedule of events:

Monday 10am-12pm: Ruth Vonderohe is coming to see us from the Knox county extension office and she has lots of cool superhero activities planned

Tuesday 10am-12pm: Our theme will be “Hometown Hero’s” today. We will be making fireman and police sun catchers, and marshmallow shooters. Laura Hauger is going to bring the ambulance to the library at 11:30 for the kids to see and she will tell us about being an EMT.

Wednesday 10am-12pm: Our theme will be “Hero’s of the Past” Joann Kumm will be at the library and we will have stations set up for the kids to try out old fashioned activities like taffy pulling, washboard washing, weaving, ect…

Thursday 10am-12pm: Our theme will be “Military Heros” We will make superhero scratch art masks, play superhero bingo for prizes, and make dogtags with our name on them. Yogi Carlson is coming and he will show us how to fold a flag.

Friday 10am-12pm: Our theme is “Superheros” We are going to make superhero capes and masks. There will be a superhero obstacle course and superhero games.

There will be treats provided and volunteers will be reading books to the kids as well. Get ready for a fun week at the library!ec9229c937c006bc615ee02f3fdb2d6d
