As many of you have heard, the Nebraska Library Commission applied for a National Leadership Grant through the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS). Late in April, we received word that our proposal, Library Innovation Studios: Transforming Rural Communities, was chosen to receive funding. Since then, we have been working on an application and selection process in order to select thirty accredited public libraries to participate in the project over the next three years. Participating libraries will have an opportunity to host a Library Innovation Studio (Makerspace for a period up to five months. The deadline to apply is July 10, 2017.
