Hello, my name is Carol and I am delighted to welcome you to Kilgore Memorial Library’s new website. You will notice we have a lot of good e-resources for patrons to use. I work the circulation desk and will be happy to assist you in finding a book or answering a question.
How much do you know about your ancestors? I also do genealogy requests. We have census records, marriage records, York history books and genealogical information, and the York Newspapers on microfilm. I would love to help you find the family information that you are looking for.
During my spare time I enjoy checking out books from the children’s area and reading them to my five grandchildren. Check out our new website to see what books we have and enjoy a good read!
Greetings! Welcome to Kilgore Memorial Library’s new blog. Every month each member of the staff will have a new blog post about various different happenings in our library. Since this lovely new website of ours has just recently launched we thought we’d use the month of April to introduce the staff, and I get to go first!
My name is Rachel and I am in charge of Technical Services here at the “brary”. My main job is cataloging but I also work the circulation desk in the evenings and on Saturday. I’m relatively new to Kilgore but I have lived in York for 16 years. I’m a graduate of York College and am actively involved with the Yorkshire Playhouse. I enjoy reading most any genre but especially history and YA fiction.
Welcome to the new Kilgore Memorial Library website! We are glad you found it — please add our site to your bookmarks: http://libraries.ne.gov/york. Kilgore Memorial Library staff has been working hard to make sure that our website has up-to-date information and useful (working!) links!
With the unveiling of our new website, we have also included this blog that will be used to spread information regarding the library. Each library staff member will be posting on the blog with current information about library programs, services, new and interesting books, and other exciting anecdotes!
Take a look around the website. Leave us a comment and let us know how we can help you!
