Feeling Green?

“Spring was moving in the air above and in the earth below and around him, penetrating even his dark and lowly little house with its spirit of divine discontent and longing.” This is from the classic The Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame. As March is springing ahead and the sun is coming out to warm the earth after another cold winter, we all begin to feel the need to open our windows and let the light in. March also brings us National Women’s History Month, Mardi Gras and the celebration of the Birthdays of Dr. Seuss and Harry Houdini.

Want to feel a little greener? Then you should check out a book by Michael K. Reynolds who writes the heirs of Ireland series. You’ll be transported from the potato famine of Ireland to the seedy streets of New York. By the time you’ve put one of these books down you’ll be whistling “When Irish Eyes are Smiling.”
