Programs

Story Hour:
The second Wednesday of every month during the months of September through May our library offers Story Hour to children age 2-6. We meet at the library from 10-11:15 am. Our staff works diligently to instill both the love of reading and encourage all areas of learning.

After School Reading Program:
Students in elementary school are welcome to stop by the library Tuesday-Friday to participate in the after school reading program.  Staff assist in guiding the children in choosing age and reading level appropriate material.  Each child will read for 15 minutes and is rewarded with up to an hour of free time on one of our library computers.  Children can work on homework, browse the internet, or play games online.  Progress through reading logs are kept by the library staff and once or twice a year the children who participated in over half of the reading days are rewarded.

Lego/STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) Program:

Students in elementary school are encouraged to join us at the library on Wednesday afternoons immediately following the release of school to participate in our Lego and STEM programming. The children will engage their imaginations to design fun creations through the use of Lego blocks or STEM related items. First and third Wednesdays are Lego days. Second and fourth Wednesdays are STEM days.
